About David:

David spent the first half of his childhood in Pittsburgh and the second half a few hours north in rural Kane, Pennsylvania. He earned a BA from Harvard and a PhD from UCLA and spent years as a professor of English and Latin American studies at New Jersey City University. In 2023, he returned to Pittsburgh to complete his memoir and to take a position as English professor and writing coordinator at Chatham University, where he works closely with MFA Creative Writing students.

David has recently completed his memoir manuscript Chemical Works Road, and he has published excerpts from the memoir in in Wordrunners eChapbooksThe Watershed JournalRockvale Review, The Fourth River, Northern Appalachia Reviewand Allium: A Journal of Poetry & Prose.
